From October 2004, service providers may have to consider making permanent physical adjustments to their premises to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act - Access to Goods & Services.

The cornerstone of this Act is to ensure that service providers take positive steps to make their services accessible to disabled persons - this means altering or providing an alternative means of access.
